The MotoE World Championship is coming in 2025!

A dream I’ve always had has finally come true, and I can now officially announce: In 2025, I will compete in the MotoE World Championship! Furthermore, I will be the first Hungarian to debut in this electric motorsport series.

It’s a huge honor to be a part of the Snipers team and race on a Ducati V21L against the best riders in the world. This series is especially close to my heart because electric motorcycles represent not just speed but also sustainability and innovation. I believe the future lies in such technologies, and I’m proud to be part of this journey.

This year, I invested a lot of energy in preparation, and it showed in the results: podium finishes, victories, and tough battles defined the season. These experiences provide a perfect foundation for me to give my best on the MotoE stage in 2025.

What makes this season even more special for me is that MotoE will come to Hungary, at the Balaton Park Circuit. Competing at a home race in front of Hungarian fans will undoubtedly be one of the greatest experiences of my life – I already know this!

The MotoE World Championship was first held in 2019 and has since become an integral part of MotoGP weekends. This electric motorcycle racing series is one of the most modern and sustainable branches of motorsport, operating under the supervision of the FIM (International Motorcycling Federation). The races, run on fully electric motorcycles manufactured by Ducati, aim to promote sustainable technology in the world of motorsport while offering intense, thrilling competition.

The series' viewership has been growing year by year. In 2022, nearly 30 million people worldwide followed MotoE events, and as part of MotoGP weekends, the series indirectly reaches hundreds of millions of viewers. In 2023, for example, more than 7 million viewers watched live coverage of races in Italy, reflecting the growing popularity of MotoE.

The series takes place in 6-8 countries across Europe, including iconic locations like Le Mans, Assen, and Jerez in Spain. This provides an opportunity for riders and technological partners to showcase themselves to a global audience.
 

Among the MotoE champions so far, many have become legends in the world of electric motorsport:

• Matteo Ferrari (Italian, 2019) – The series’ first champion, who claimed the title at just 22 years old.
• Jordi Torres (Spanish, 2020 and 2021) – A two-time champion who brought the most experience to the races at the age of 33.
• Dominique Aegerter (Swiss, 2022) – A MotoE champion at 31, who also achieved success in another motorsport series.
• Mattia Casadei (Italian, 2023) – The young talent claimed the crown at 24 years old.
• Héctor Garzó (Spanish, 2024) – This young talent claimed the crown at 26 years old.

The competitors include both young talents and seasoned riders, proving that electric motorsport is open to everyone.

The Ducati MotoE: V21L

The Ducati MotoE project’s official name is Ducati V21L, and it is the brand’s first electric racing motorcycle. Ducati’s goal is clear: to create the best MotoE bike that is not only technologically outstanding but also offers exciting and precise handling, staying true to Ducati’s traditions.

The Ducati MotoE embodies engineering brilliance, combining decades of motorsport heritage with the innovations of electric technology.

• Power: 150 horsepower (110 kW)
• Torque: 140 Nm, instantly available thanks to the electric drive.
• Top Speed: 275 km/h, setting a new benchmark in the world of electric motorcycles.
• Weight: Only 225 kg, remarkably lightweight for an electric motorcycle. The Ducati MotoE is significantly lighter than the Energica bikes previously used in the series.
